Aaron Pelle

Biography

Aaron Pelle is a composer, musician and piano teacher currently undertaking his 3rd year in his Bachelor of Music (Composition). He has had his music performed by artists such as pianist Konstantin Shamray and violinist Elizabeth Layton, and has won first prizes for both his string quartet Sugar & Spice and song cycle Three Poems of Tristan Tzara at the South Australian Young Composers Awards for 2017. He was also the recipient of the Dr Ruby Davies Award for Composition in 2017, and his chamber orchestra work Loose Threads was premiered as part of the Elder Hall Lunchtime Concert Series in 2018.

A thoroughly bitchin’ wind quintet that’ll thrill the soul – first performance took place on May the 9th, 2017 in the Barr Smith Library Reading Room as part of the New Sounds for an Old Room Vol. 3 Concert hosted by Jacob Whitelock.
