BIOGRAPHY
Madeleine Cocolas is an Australian composer and sound designer currently based in New York City. She completed her Masters of Music Composition under the supervision of composer Robert Davidson through the Queensland University of Technology.
She released her debut album ‘Cascadia’ through UK label ‘Futuresequence’ in 2016 and has had further music released through indie classical labels including ‘Bigo & Twigetti’, ‘1631 Recordings’ and ‘Self Center Records’. In 2015, she was commissioned to compose and perform a live score to Alfred Hitchcock’s classic film “The Birds” as part of the Northwest Film Forum “Puget Soundtrack” series in Seattle, Washington.
Madeleine has collaborated on numerous multidisciplinary projects including with curator/designer Hayley Skurowski (“Curation”, 2016), choreographer Angelica DeLashmette (“Being.”, 2016), textile designer Monique Van Nieuwland (“Ocean Forest”, 2015), choreographer Holly Cooper (“Una Soma”, 2011), and choreographer Jiang Xue (“White Glimpses”, 2007 & 2008). During the years 2012-2014 she completed her critically acclaimed ’52 Weeks’ project.
She is currently working on her second album.

I Can See You Whisper is a track from Madeleine Cocolas’s debut album ‘Cascadia’. ‘Cascadia’ is a refinement of material produced for her ‘Fifty Two Weeks’ project which saw her create a track-a-week for a year.
